I Don't Do Resolutions

With the start of a new year brings New Year Resolutions.  I have never done resolutions before, and I am not about to start now.  Instead I have set a few goals for this year.  Goals that I want to work hard towards through out the entire year.

Here they are:

1.  Obtain a % of body fat less than 10%.

2.  Place top 5 in my first bikini comp this year.  (A high goal to set for myself, but I'm willing to work hard towards it)

3.  Get my weight down to approx 112- 115 lbs, while keeping bf% of 10%.  Right now my weight fluctuates between 118-122lbs.

4.  Get my picture on the "Wall of Fame" at my gym - my gym has a wall of fame that has pictures of all the athletes that train there.  Ranges from figure competitors, to hockey players, university athletes to nationally recognized teams.  I would love to have my picture up on that wall & be able to see myself every time I walk into the gym.

5.  Once I hit my goals I would like to get professional pictures done in order to remember my successes and to reward myself for all the hard work.

6.  Be proud of my accomplishments.

Do you set resolutions/goals at the beginning of the year?  If so what are they?

Back At It

Hope every ones Christmas & New Years was great!  My Christmas was fantastic.  I love Christmas, especially with a 2 1/2 year old nephew around to spoil.  Christmas always seems so much better when kids are around.  Spent a lot of time with family, caught up on housework & hit the gym hard.  I was pretty proud of myself to sticking to my meal & workout plan over the holidays & it wasn't even that hard!  2 cheers for me!!

I was spoiled rotten like always.  Didn't receive anything on my "Christmas List", but loved everything!  I got a pair of diamond earrings (from Hubby), a new magic bullet (my old one was wearing out), a Garmin watch, gift cards, magazine subscriptions, and recipe books.  My work was generous enough to give us items from Walmart & was very straightforward about allowing us to return them.  I returned mine & got an iPad! Yay! Love it, especially for morning cardio sessions.  I have read 2 books already on it & it sure makes the 5AM workouts fly by!  Work was also generous with the Christmas bonus this year & let's just say my trainer fees for prep have been paid off in full!

We went away for a few days last week, and I made sure to pack my meals &  bring everything with me.  But let's just say the border patrol was a bit suspicious when they examined our car to find 2 coolers full of tilapia, green beans, cucumbers, & yams; tupperware containers full of supplements & protein powder & a food scale & body weight scale.  Took some convincing, but they finally realized I wasn't a drug smuggler ;)

I spent NYE in bed with a head/sinus cold & have been feeling pretty shitty ever since.  I am hoping to kick this cold in the butt so I can give my workouts 125%.  Lately it seems like they have been about 99% since every time I move my nose starts running, my sinuses start pounding & I am easily out of breath.

On another note, I purchased my shoes last week!  5 inch clear heels here I come!  Can't wait to get them in the mail so I can start practising.  I love heels so this shouldn't be that hard for me. Now I am constantly looking at bikini's online trying to find the perfect one.  Will let you know what I decide on!

Cheers everyone!  Hope your sanity stays in tact for the 1st couple weeks of January in the gym.  Gotta love those New Years Resolution go'ers that take up all the cardio machines & stand in the weight area!  Soooo not looking forward to it!
